This policy describes the type of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you use RYA, use our website located at RYA (askrya.com), engage with our services or when you make any purchases (collectively, the “Services”) and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information. Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. When you use our Services, you are consenting to the collection, use, sharing, and storage of your Personal Information as described below.

Security
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the Services, your information is protected both online and offline.
Wherever we collect sensitive information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the Web page.
The computers servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
Episode Four will make its best efforts to protect your information, but Episode Four cannot, however, ensure or warrant the security of any information that you transmit to us or store on the Services, and you do so at your own risk. We also cannot guarantee that such information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of Episode Four’s physical, technical, or administrative safeguards.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act
The Services are not directed to children under 13 years old. We do not target the Services to children under 13, and we do not intentionally collect any information from users under 13. If you are under 13, do not use or provide any information through the Services. If you become aware that a child has used the Services, and we may have Personal Information about a user under 13, please contact us at info@ask-rya.com, so we may delete the information.

State consumer privacy laws may provide their residents with additional rights regarding our use of their Personal Information.

Episode Four does not disclose Personal Information to third parties for those third parties’ own direct marketing purposes.

In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of Personal Information enumerated in the CCPA:
Identifiers, including name, email address, phone number, and IP address.
Internet activity, including your interactions with our Site.
Employment and education data, including information you provide when you apply for a job with us or when you engage with the Services.

Right to Know and Delete
Consumers who are California residents (and not representatives of businesses, whether those businesses are our clients or others) have the right to know certain information about our data practices in the preceding 12 months. In particular, they have the right to request the following from us:

In the request, please specify which right you are seeking to exercise and the scope of the request. We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 days. We may require specific information from you to help us verify your identity and process your request. If we are unable to verify your identity, we may deny your requests to know or delete.
Authorized Agent
You can designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. However, we will require written proof of the agent’s permission to do so and verify your identity directly.
Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Episode Four does not sell Personal Information as the term “sell” is defined under the CCPA.
Right to Non-Discrimination
You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment by us for the exercise of any of your rights.
Additional State Disclosures
Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Utah each provide their state residents with rights to:

Nevada provides its residents with a limited right to opt-out of certain Personal Information sales. Residents who wish to exercise this sale opt-out rights may submit a request to this designated address: info@ask-rya.com. However, please know we do not currently sell data triggering that statute's opt-out requirements.
International Users
The Services are hosted in the United States and are intended primarily for visitors located within the United States. If you choose to use the services from outside the United States or in a jurisdiction with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from the laws of the United States, you hereby authorize and consent to the transfer of your Personal Information outside of such region and to the United States, or any other jurisdiction to be determined in Episode Four’s sole discretion, for data storage and processing purposes.
While Episode Four does not specifically target its goods or services to individuals outside of the United States, it understands that certain Site visitors may be considered “data subjects” for whom the processing of Personal Information would normally be subject to REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) or the U.K. General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR”) (each, a “Covered Person”).
While Episode Four is not subject to GDPR or the UK GDPR because it does not target its goods and services to individuals outside of the United States, it voluntarily offers Covered Persons the rights described below:
Right of access, rectification, erasure, and restriction of processing: The user may obtain access to the user’s Personal Information stored by Episode Four. If Episode Four processes or uses the user’s Personal Information, Episode Four shall endeavor to ensure, by implementing suitable measures, that the user’s Personal Information is accurate and up to date for the purposes for which it was collected. If the User’s Personal Information is inaccurate or incomplete, the user may obtain the rectification of such Personal Information. The user may obtain the erasure or restriction of processing of the user’s Personal Information in situations where no legitimate business purpose exists, or the further storage is unnecessary.
Right to data portability: The user may receive the Personal Information about such user that the user has provided to Episode Four, in a structured, commonly-used, and machine-readable format or transmit this information to another controller.
Right to object: The user may object, on grounds relating to the user’s particular situation, to the processing of the user’s Personal Information. To the extent the user’s Personal Information is processed for reasons other than direct marketing, the user understands and agrees that Episode Four has compelling legitimate reasons for information processing, such as providing access to Episode Four’s Services. The user may use ad-blocking software to limit information capture and usage. Making a request does not guarantee that the request will be honored.
Right to withdraw the user’s consent: If the user consented to the collection or processing of the user’s Personal Information, the user may withdraw the user’s consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
